Funded by employee salary deductions and employer contributions.
Employees may contribute up to 100% of compensation annually $10,000 maximum in 2005.
Employers may match employee contributions dollar-for-dollar at 3% of compensation up to $6,000, or contribute a flat 2% of compensation.
Asset Access Withdrawals are available anytime, though tax penalties may apply if taken when the employee is under age 59½ or if the employee's SIMPLE IRA account has been open for less than two years.
Vesting Employee and employer contributions are 100% vested immediately.
